Island Dancer by KaceyM Island Dancer by KaceyM
A red fox vixen hula dancing on a tropical beach..

This was a piece I did for FC 2009 and it was used as the art on the dealers badges.

Done with inks and acrylics on 8"x10" illustration board.

I do not know how you do it, and I envy you your time and skills. It kind of gets tiring to say "awesome" and "well done" over and over... and this late in the game it may not mean as much to you to go through and laud you for all the excellently done details in this picture. Surely, in levels of improvement, you've continued on in a steady march from here.

But for anthros, there are two Good kinds of fur. One is yours here, and the other is fur that looks like, well, fur. How an artist spends the time to pull off either one this grandly blows my mind.

The background? Standard picture post card water color sky and sea and clouds... with one particular amazing difference. The trees! Oh my goodness the trees... I've seen postcards for profit sales with the art done exactly in that style. What I'm saying here is that looks like a professional job to me... the coloration, form, shading, etc...

Well, I faved this one. It's grand, and she's lovely. And I think I'd be as impressed with it if she weren't furry, but as human as you or me. And with anthro art, that doesn't happen too often.
