My fursona as a student at Hogwarts - being a nerd and doing her homework ^.^, In school not only did I do my homework, but I sometimes did other people's too. Not much of a life. Anyways, this one is done differently from most other pieces in my gallery - this was drawn in pencil, no ink - and watercolored under colored pencil, and then acrylic on top. A few bits were done in marker, like the scarf, but that stands out a bit too much for my taste so maybe that choice was a mistake. I do like the falling snow, however.. and I've got a cute barn owl .
I always have loved this piece. Not just for massive skill of it all (I can't begin to fathom not inking a piece myself), but just the atmosphere the piece conveys is dead-on. As far as the scarf goes, its not all that stand-out-ish at first glance. The yellow does seem a bit too vibrant but if you hadn't said anything I wouldn't have noticed. But the scarf itself seems to add a nice counter balance to the red cloth on the other side of the piece so in my book it works.

I would love for this to be larger so I can examine all the details, but I can understand why you probably prefer it small I bet you have problems with thieves, don't you? :/
Anyway, I adore the atmosphere you've created in this one, with the colors especially, though the background does a great job as well. I love the snow... Especially since the most exciting parts of the HP books always seem to occur during winter break, and almost always when it's snowing XD; Wonderful colors as always... The perspective seems a tad off in places (like the cauldron) but that's a small nitpick in such a lovely piece.

Wow...amazing background!! 0_o
All the details look great in this, from the wood on the floor, to the stone of the walls, to all the accessories scattered around the room. Wonderful work here.
Oh, hadn't thought of the scarf as counterpointing the bedcurtain - but that does make sense . I still coulda made that yellow a bit less radioactive... I tend to notice problems with drawings as they get older... this one is already 'old' to me.
Neat! I love it when my work reminds someone of something in their own life ...
Yeah, the tail is hers- its just really huge and its obscured behind the bag, but stands out really strongly in the front... I have a thing for huge fluffy tails ^.^.
