Gathering Flowers

A commission for Nyghtwulf of her taur self out collecting flowers with her dragon companion Skai. Characters are copyright Nyghtwulf.

I always try to pose a new challenge to myself with each new painting that I do - the challenges here were trying to make the flowers non-standard (like, not daisies), and trying to make the forest look like more than just a row of trees. I also played more with reflected color - esp. on Skai and the saddlebags reflecting the greenery.

And the piece is done with Microns, acrylic paints, watercolors, and a little bit of marker on 9"x12" illustration board.
