An acrylic and airbrush painting inspired by film noir.

A married couple comes home from a night on the town to find the husband's jealous mistress, waiting with a gun.

Done entirely with titanium white and carbon black acrylic paints - some airbrushing used for the walls and lighting.

I didn't count the amount of time spent - but I would estimate at about 150 hours total. This one took me a very long time.

The size and shape is also meant to mimic the aspect ratio of film noir of the 40s and 50s.

24"x32" acrylic paints and airbrush on illustration board.

Stupendous!

You got everything nailed right to this, the tone, the contrast, details, everything! Superb!

99.8% of anime fans are obsessing over Naruto. If you are the last few of the clan who can think up three better animes than this, paste this on your signature.

Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and South Park ARE ALL 100X THAN NARUTO

Impressively done. Rather suspenseful, with all the WIPs and how long she's been waiting there, shown with all the cigarette butts in the ash tray. Almost tells a story on it's own.

That's gorgeous. I love the perspective and the
use of the lighting and mirror to give it a subtle
feel. It's very effective, and exquisite work!

A sword without an edge? What's the point?!

That's phenomenal! Such excellent detail. ^_^ Wish I could say more about it but I'm speechless... X3

I'm blown away by this. I had looked at your WIP shots as you continued working and now seeing the final picture, I cannot fathom having the patience to put the amount of details that you did here.

Everything was done with precision. I love the details such as the torn envelope with the lipstick kiss on its surface, the glass container of liquor, the sparkling crystals on the smaller lamp fixture, the patterns on both the carpet and chair fabric and lastly the light cast across the wall and mirror.

Fantastic work!

You're just so talented. This piece is stunning! The water glass... on man. Would it be too much to ask how you made just the water glass? I would love to make a water glass like that.

Beautiful! Thanks for posting the progress on this one, it was really interesting to watch your process. It turned out really nice, too! I love the little details, like the glass and the lipstick'ed envelope. :) Well done!

Life is like Tetris... you aren't always given the pieces that fit nicely, but if you don't make do with what you get the screen fills up and you get a game over.. or something like that.
